Run a reproducible privacy check
Open browser developer tools and select Network. Clear the request log, select two sample files in a public Compare tool and run it. Filtering Fetch/XHR should show no spreadsheet upload. Repeat in the local Reconcile workspace. Exporting CSV or XLSX creates a browser download.
Explicit exceptions
Publish result sends counts, column names, title and tool identifier; it does not send result rows. Formula publishing sends formula parameters. Save metadata sends file hashes, column schemas, rules, aggregate counts and explicit pair-hash review decisions after sign-in. Optional AI sends the prompt you enter. The server workspace uploads selected files only when you explicitly consent.
Offline and cache limits
Open Offline tools while connected and select Prepare. The Works offline indicator appears only after every listed asset has downloaded and passed its hash check. Disable the browser network connection and reopen an offline tool page, run the sample and download a result. Free tool snapshots, local Reconcile, PDF/XLSX export and locally saved recipes support this mode. Sign-in, publishing, account saves, optional AI and payments still require the network. The offline copy contains public pages and assets, not private account responses.
Inspect the engines
Public spreadsheet modules are served from /assets/js/tools/ and the local matching worker is /assets/js/workers/reconcile-worker.js. Release documentation contains their hashes. The authenticated server engine remains available for selected workflows and has a distinct data-handling policy.
